I could hear the excited chatter of children gathered in the leafy courtyard of Nguyen Du Primary School in Ly Thai To. They were lined up for morning assembly and an elderly school keeper invited me to enter to take photographs. I waved to the head teacher and she smiled broadly and gestured for me to come in.
