Ba Dinh Square is steeped in history. I met a group of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers from the Mekong Delta. They were dressed in their best Ao Dai, they wore their medals with pride and they were smiling broadly. As I gazed upon them, I was overwhelmed by their loss, and the sacrifices made by so many Vietnamese people.
Quảng trường Ba Đình thấm đẫm lịch sử. Tôi đã gặp một nhóm Mẹ Việt Nam Anh hùng từ Đồng Bằng Sông Cửu Long. Họ mặc áo dài đẹp nhất, đeo huy chương với niềm tự hào và cười rộng. Khi tôi nhìn vào họ, tôi đã bị choáng ngợp bởi sự mất mát của họ và những hy sinh của rất nhiều người Việt Nam.
