Everywhere I went, I was struck by the incredible spirit of the Vietnamese people. Despite hardships, they were looking towards a brighter future. The nation had endured terrible war and deprivation, but now the path ahead was lined with peace and hope. They worked hard and dared to dream. Hanoi was a city on the rise.
